Top 15 Rows

Post by Froonp »

ORIGINAL: Borger Borgersen
Is it possible to show the uppermost 15 hexrows of the map from west to east so we can see which hexrows are
intended to be deleted from the map? I feel it's hard to say OK to delete them or not without seeing what is going
to be removed.
Here they are.
Top left hex is hex #000,000.
The black line marks the place between the 15th row and the 16th row.
Here, column 0 to 23, north of Iceland.

Obviously a lot of those coastlines required a lot of work, but, hey, this is a game [:D]

Thanks Patrice for posting the uppermost 15 hexrows. [:)] By seeing what we're losing I agree with Steve. It's better
let them go than having to program some kind of paging system. It's nothing vital being lost from the uppermost 15
hexrows.

But I was thinking it's maybe possible to remove maybe 12-13 hexrows and the top and maybe a few hexrows at the
map bottom. The end result would be the same. How does the southermost part of the map look like? Maybe there
are hexrows to remove there so fewer hexrows have to be removed at the top?

The bottom 18 hexrows of the MWiF map are only water, water, water, and more water. And South America, from Comodoro Rivadavia to the southern tip of the Tierra del Fuego, and a few islands.
Nothing to crop here.

Without knowing what impact these changes have on game play I
would be unable to say I would be supportive. This is a question
that is probably going to have to be answered by the Beta testers.
If they feel there is no impact on game play I would say go ahead.
