divided HQ

Is this a good idea: divide HQ in order to make easier the replacements all over the map ?

don't think so - you only get the HQ benefits for the parent unit... you do get more support in other spots, which might help (marginally) for supplies, replacements, etc.

It will be a little too easy... Anyway, dividing it and sending the parent unit to a rear base with a good supply path and the fragment to the frontline where its support squads will be useful may be a good idea. A bit gamey IMOO but it will work.

According to the mods - you will not get the "HQ" benefit = i.e. - combat bonus for HQ planning for location, etc.

All you should see from HQ fragments are the effects of having more support squads in the hex.  Not insignificant benefits, but maybe not worth the trouble of splitting/shipping, etc.

I split them into fragments all the time for the extra support. I don't consider it "gamey" as the HQ units represent the hundreds of individual units that are support that are not represented in the game...

I wouldn't consider it gamey at all to split and sprinkle the HQ support squads around.
