Patch promised THIS month still coming?

There will be a patch at the end of this month. The announcement for the new game is really not far off, very likely we will do it next week.

I promised myself to be patient but I can't stand it anymore...

I love the game aswell and I really hope there will be a sequel.

This is a solid game. Why is there talk of a new patch? The only problem I find is understanding the Gold screen every week of play.. I have to keep tabs on that with a note pad and pencil, but I think I'm getting there.

Well, a patch can fix more than bugs. It can add new graphics, options, scenarios, etc. Although I think there must be  a graphics bug remaining. When I run the demo I get a black screen for the main map. I can see everything else though, even the mini-map! If it weren't for that I might actually buy this game...

I think Hussar is missing out on an opportunity here. By announcing the new game, posting screen shots, "developer diaries", features lists, and updates they would generate excitement and interest in the new game which would help sales. There would be discussion on this board, with suggestions and questions, which would contribute to making the new (as yet unannounced) game better. I recognize that Hussar is a small company, and they are probably already overworked, but even if this produces a small delay in the new release I think the increased sales and customer satisfaction would more than make up for it.

I agree, Jeff. You have been a most positive backer of the game - I wish that Hussar's attitude mirrored yours. As it is, they again promised a patch and announcement on new game and missed their date yet again with not even the barest post of explanation. Other companies are small as well and their support and presence on the boards is constant and dependable - when there are delays they communicate them. Hussar does little or none of this. I, for one, will concentrate my time, support and dollars on small companies producing games like Forge of Freedom, Birth of America and AACW, and leave Hussar to the fate of companies that repeatedly disregard their customer base.

thanks, Erik. Good game - shame if it and the engine faded. Perhaps a bit of you and Matrix games and your other developer's mentoring and leading with your excellent examples on consistent customer interaction and support would help them.

There is a version 1.80 patch on The Patches Scrolls site. Don't know if its official.

I tried this 1.80 patch and had problems. I loaded my saved game which was in strategic mode and when I went into tactical mode I got a "divide by zero" error and the battle map just failed to load. I went back to 1.75 but had to delete the 'For Liberty!.exe' file in order to downgrade.

I'm getting the "division by zero" bug too.
Does anybody know where I can get the 1.75 patch?
