Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Yes - pre-plotted for the attacker (ALlies in BTR, Ge in BoB), and pauseable accelerated Real Time for the defender (with a few admin phases that are effectively plotted)

Is this turn based?

kind of. [:D]

I guess you could consider it turn-based for the attacker (IGO-UGO) and pausable realtime for the defender. kind of

To go into a little bit more detail:

For the "bomber" player it is turn-based - missions are plotted and then you watch them unfold. If you see a disaster developing too bad - you are committed.

For the defending player there is first an administrative phase where fighters may be transfered from base to base and anti-aircraft guns may be moved to help defend selected targets. There is a limited pool of points that can be used for such transfers each day.

After the administrative phase comes the reaction phase where the defender reacts to incoming raids. This is watched in "real-time" but can be paused to issue orders to units. For example, the defender could pause at the beginning of the phase to launch patrols, watch until he detects a raid he wishes to respond to, then pause again to scramble more fighters and/or vector patrols to intercept raids. The defender has the option of recalling his planes if he doesn't like the odds.
