Manic Mouse

Is there anyone else finding it difficult to control the cursor? My cursor is a bit too fast for some reason when playing in game? Its just a normal PS2 rollerball mouse I use? Game is uncomfortable to play, verging on the unplayable?
Not sure if a Dxdiag is any help but will post one if required. I run XP and a pretty midrange system. (1.6 GHz Athlon and 1.37GB Ram and onboard 128 MB Video)

Anybody? Games is torture. Try to set up a PBEM is a nightmare because the travel distance involved for the mouse. I've switched to a USB mouse but no improvement.

have you tried to change settings for the mouse in the system?
 
In my home PC I've got Logitec mouse wich allows ti customize many settings.
But some of the programs (like Internet Explorer) don't care about that and use standard system settings.
 
But for me the game runs fine.
