This will be the new AAR between Nemo and myself. We have already played out the first few turns and are seeing a far different battle.

I have shifted my strategy to the possiblity of Harry Heth actually FOLLOWING Bobby Lee's Orders by not bringing on a general engagement. My plan is to deploy Heth and Pender along each side of the Pike and then when A.P. Hilla rrives commence a massive two-division attack that will quickly be supported by the arrival of Rodes and Early.

Of course if Nemo attacks ME then things shall change...

Thank you!  I want to make a fully prepared attack with 3 Battalions of Artillery supporting 2 Confederate Divisions.  At the time that attack begins, Rodes and Early should be about to arrive.  The biggest danger in this strategy is that I might not make it to the main line by nightfall.
 
I have thoughts about that but will see what happens first. 
 
Nemo did a suicide mission in the 0920 turn where he sent a large regiment of Cavalry (400+) after my guns at the back of the line.  They got there and destroyed 12 guns but are now isolated by my Infantry and will be destroyed.  Is that a good exchange?  A dozen guns for 400-500 Troopers?

He'll regret the loss of cavalry more than you'll miss the guns - the Union gets almost no cavalry until day 2-3 except for Buford!

I agree with you. Look at this picture. I have 4 Union Cavalry Remigents for the taking. He has already had 1 wiped out...

bit silly of him.. in a Gettysburg scenario, his reckless character would make him more fitted to play the CSA rather than the Union...

I may try to take advantage of Nemo's aggressiveness by grabbing a piece of good ground and make him come at me.

Pender starts arriving at 1100 and I think I will place both divisions on the right side of the road and drive towards cemetary Ridge and Little Round Top. If he is defending the Seminary itself, this will force him to move. At the same time Rodes and Early will arrive from the other side of the map...

He shouldn't have dismounted. Sure, you can shoot better, but you can't melee with mounted cavalry....

Nemo doesn't think of cavalry in terms of 2 turn attacks.  Get in and hit the target, wait for response, and then run AWAY!  I've got two more surrounded way out on my right flank a turn later.  Will post a screen shot when I get his turn back.

This screenshot details the planned deployment and direction of the 3rd Corps attack. It is important to note that at about the time my troops crest Herr Ridge, Rodes should be entering the field on Oak Hill. It might set-up one heck of a situation for the Union Commander to deal with!

Does anyone have any suggestions and/or thoughts regarding this?

Thank you Sir.  I appreciate hearing from someone who is reading this.  This battle is my favorite to refight because one can try so many things over and over that the battle feels different every time.

John 3rd,  Fine AAR.  Nemo's bold or foolish (depending on your point of view) morning attack w/Buford has made things very interesting. But... What about Doubleday's boys coming in on the Hagerstown-Fairfield Rd right behind Heth's division?  They begin to arrive just before 11am...

If that Infantry Division does show its head, I will destroy it with Heth's boys.  The point of this attack is to fix the 1st Corps in their position and, hopefully, take them on their left flank and from the rear with Emell's Corps when it arrives...
