Attempting to place Brigades into Container Units

Post by hangarflying »

Hello all,

I don't think this is a bug problem, but since there isn't a "general discussion" area I figured this place was as good as any to ask.

I am trying to organize my AOP, but the brigades are not moving into the container units during the movement phase.

I'm trying to organize the army into two corps with three division in each corps. I place the brigades into the appropriate containers. Once the turn has been completed I check the army and it is as if I never made the changes. I understand that units may not move for various reasons, but I think that it is odd that NONE of the units I have tried to place into the containers have not moved for every turn for about 24 turns.

I'm trying to add units to the AOP Center army that I have located in the Potomac River province. There are two empty divisions that I am trying to fill up. I do have commanders attached to these empty divisions. I have tried to fill the containers with different types of units as well as garrison units, mustered units, and normally raised units.

Am I missing something?

Thanks!

The main area is the "general discussion" area.

Regarding your question, a bit more information would help. Most importantly, are the units you're trying to add beginning the turn in the same place as the army container, or do they have to get there first?

Ah disregard! I figured out what was going on. When I had the units built, I had them "reinforce" Washington in order to easily group them. I forgot that I had done this, and each time I tried to group them, they would keep trying to reinforce Washington. Once I cleared the "reinforce" order box, they grouped just fine.

Operator error as usual. Thanks for looking though!
