Influence of two commanders on units

Post by Ras Tshubai »

Currently playing the 1944 scenario as Axis and I am getting into some heavy defensive battles. I have two commanders attached to units close to to each other. As I understand it they strengthen the units around within eight hex fields.
How do two commanders influence another unit within the eight hex fields. Is the strengthening force of each of the two commanders added or multiplied? or something else?

A unit will only be influenced by 1 general, the one with the highest leadership rating. So having Mainstein and Rommel next to each other doesn't do any good, and is a waste of Rommel. It's better to spread out your best generals to cover the maximum area.
