Don't Understand

Post by RangerX3X »

I haven't played this game in some time and started to get back into it.

I played the scenario Eindhoven: Historical Campaign and it ended in a draw, 100 victory points each. I controlled the entire map save for one 7 point location and held it most of the game (see image). I crushed the enemy with over 10,000 kills while keeping the road open (including Son).

So why the draw? I don't get it.

Dang It!

I'm playing as the Germans now in the same scenario; the point balance for the objectives is drastically different. The objective you didn't take appears to be Uden. It may be worth 7 points to the allies but to Germany it's 68 points to hold it to the end. I managed to hold out at Son almost into the second day. That action earned the Son mortar company a unit citation, and it earned just over 10 points for holding out. The most the allies can earn from the Son objective is 17 points.  The point balance has to be skewed because the actual mission parameters can't be simulated with HTTR since there are no points to exit forces; so for the Germans to cut Hell's Highway at any point for a day pretty much insures victory...
