patches download but not detected by game program

Dreaded error code #123999777 required uninstall and reinstall of game.

I downloaded newest beta patch from member area to computer but the program does not detect the patch when starting the game. What I get is version 1.0 (confirmed by moving a HA which took only 5 rail movement points in the original version 1.0)

I went back and downloaded the patch into all possible area in my hard drive; still the program did not detect the patch when starting the game. Still version 1.0.

The newest download patch shows in all the Matrix Game files.

Any ideas on what I should try?

U mentioned download twice but u didnt mention install once. Did u really install it, and into the right folder? Can't think of anything else really...
