Help with a campaign

Post by Blackjak »

Is there a way to make a campaign with 1 or maybe 2 groups, and take them through a series of maps. Start the groups on green and replentish the units only when they rest for a full day. Maybe have them work their way all over normandy?

Like in CC3 and CoI? Sorry, no. The point based requisition and unit upgrade path system from CC3, which would have allowed that sort of operation or campaign was replaced in CC4 with the Battle Group and Force Pool system. That was carried through in CC5 and now with WaR and TLD.

The two systems are incompatable in their existing forms. Relics of data still exist in the files from the requisition system, but the coding in the .exe does not, at least in any way anyone has been able to hack in the last 11 years.
C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas la guerre.

Use the scenario editor, and only use 2 battlegroups. As for the Gemans, place one battlegroup on each map.

Do not use all the maps at the strategic level. Instead, create a line of maps then you have a linear campaign like CC3.

Perhpas have 2 lines of maps running in parallel.

From the operations folder of tLD

Parry and Riposte
Through to Bayeaux

Both are similar to CC3/CoI style operations.
