Looking forward to buying the game in the next 2 years...

Post by Zakhal »

Without creditcard and living in finland it seems impossible to buy this game. There is no paybycash option in the store nor in the europian dealer shops which most dont even deal to finland.

Not to mention the eu stores dont even speak english. I need to take courses in france before i can even begin to understand how to buy anything from them.

I can only wait few years for my studies to reach far enough to get a credit card or then find a paybycash option from an online store that speaks english.

...Oh the good old days when one could just go to a compustore and pick&buy the game from the shell (and half the price).

Oh well, what wouldnt one wargamer do to get UV:D

Buying in Finland

Post by Zenra »

Zakhal,

Send me private e-mail - I'm in the USA, but if you can find no better way, I would be happy to purchase an extra copy of UV for you (after I have my own copy, of course :D !), especially if you're willing to engage in some PBEM action.

We would love to see our games on the shelves of the big stores, you can bet. But that´s so freaking expensive you won´t believe. Just remember we´re not dealing with mainstream games here.

The "mainstream"

Post by Zenra »

Understood, Marc - just want to let you know, though, that we all sure do appreciate the fact that you are here, "main" stream or not. FWIW, this is the only stream I care to swim in, and hopefully there will always be enough of us here for you guys to keep the sluice gate (of great wargames) open to keep it flowing :) .

Pay Pal

Post by cyberwop »

Get a pay pal account. One of us will get a extra copy and you can pay us with pay pal.

I sending a game to a guy in Sweden this month. Shipping from the US is charged by the ounce. You also need to air ship. If you surface ship it could take months as they wait til they have a certain amount of packages before they load them.

The important thing is not to worry one of us will hook you up. There are lots of good people here.

Finnish group order?

Post by RolandRahn_MatrixForum »

Hi there,

just a stupid question:
I'm sure that there are several people in Finnland who want to buy UV *now*.
Isn't there anyone who would organise a Finnish group order?
Or, is the cash-on-delivery mail service in Finnland too expensive?
Here in Germany it costs 4.85 Euro to send a CD via cash-on-delivery (within Germany; Into other countries it is much more expensive and very difficult).
If four or five Finns would join together, it should be sufficient....

Kind regards,
Roland

Thanks.

Just to prevent any misunderstanding:
I'm not going to organize such a Finnish group order or to take part in it or profit from it in any way.

It's just that I think that *if* there would be 4 or 5 Finns who want UV one of these Finns could purchase 4-5 copies *directly from Matrix* and then forward them with the Finnish postal service.
Unless the postal fares in Finnland are much higher than in Germany, it should work for everyones benefit.....
Zakhal would get UV, Matrix would sell at least one additional CD, and the other participants would save some money.

Last year, I organised a group order here in Germany for MCLV, and this greatly reduced the shipment costs for each CD *without harming Matrix* (and it might have helped some people who don't have a credit card).

Postal fares in Finland arent high but its just like noone has credit card here. Also if theres any finns in these forums they sure seem to keep quiet, since i have seen only two and both in Art of war forum only.

Hello Zakhal,

it is my absolute policy not to publish any piece of information of a group order participant or a customer.
However, I think that I won't violate the personal sphere of anyone if I reveal....
....that of the 20 people participating in that group order (for MCLV), 4 were from Finnland (No, I won't publish any more data).

Come on, gentlemen.....
There must be enough people over there to organise a small Finnish group order for UV.
Is there really no Finn who steps forward and says: "I'll do it"?

Kind regards,
Roland
