Runtime Error....

Just installed the game to my laptop. When I press start game, I get the following error:

"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.

Please contact the application's support team for more information."

The game then shuts down.

Thinkpad X61 Tablet
Windows Vista Business (32 bit)
Intel GMA Video
1400x1050 res.

Any help?

Did you install from an admin account? Did you allow the DirectX to install?

My account is the admin but no, I did not allow DirectX to install. Vista is DX10, yes? Would installing DX9 help?

I will re-run the install and allow DX install to run and advise same. Thanks.

Just as an FYI, I installed to my home desktop which also runs Vista (Home) and did not install DX and it runs and looks great. Frustrating because I bought this game mostly as a quick time-killer for the road.

I recommend you to install DirectX 9 because the current DirectX 10 isn´t completely compatible with the latest DirectX 9 releases.

Yes, please allow DirectX 9 to install. Vista does not fully support DirectX 9 out of the box.
