Graphic resolution, strength points

Post by Elwood »

Hi !
I just purchased this game as it is acclaimed as the very good sequel to the Panzer General series.
Not disappointed till now, but I have one question/request : the strength points on each unit are not so well displayed : the numbers are very blurry unless you zoom in close to the unit. Why having so bad resolution for this important info ? Is there a way to have better resolution for that ? Other graphics (unit, terrain, logos) are quite ok. Only these numbers are definitively too blurry. Is there a way to fix that ?
Thank you !

Hello Elwood,

Good to hear that you like the game.
Which screen resolution are you using in the game?

Hi again,
I was playing in the default resolution : 1024x768 [ I am playing on a 2006 laptop]
Upgrading resolution to Max (1440x900) makes things better, despite slower frame rates, but for this kind of game, it's ok, anyway.
thanks for such quick answer and good advice. [&o]
Problem fixed, I can now playing in good conditions.
[one comment : the choice of the resolution and other parameters is not so obvious in the GUI rendering setup, for a french guy. Or maybe my english is too poor. anyway, thanks for all]
bye

You are welcome.

Yes, the problem is that 1024*768 is too less for small things like the strength symbol in maximum zoom out level. Not enough pixels for the symbol and blurring of graphic cards does not make it better. So a higher resolution definitely is the better choice![;)]
