NORAD tracks Santa....

Post by leastonh1 »

I think I posted this last year too...

Track Santa live on the NORAD website using Google Earth. It's awesome [:D]

I remember when I was a kid, they used to have Santa sightings on the radio. I used to run up to my relatives and exclaim "They've got Santa tracked on radar, he's on his way!"

Good times. [8D]

As he does every year, my son kept popping onto my PC throughout the day to check how close Santa was to us in the UK. He's fast asleep now and will no doubt be up at around 6am, full of energy and excited! As it's almost 1am and due to my advancing age, I'd better hit the sack too [:)]

You mean you let that fat freak in a red suit take the credit for your sons gifts? [;)]

I remember when I found the truth out I was mad at how everyone had been lying to me for eight years. [:(]

I figured it out years before my parents did... I was so careful not to hurt their feelings by exposing the truth to them so I played along with the whole routine [:D]

Probably about 7 years old... I was awake and faking it as they were filling my stocking (always hung on my bed) and as they took the presents downstairs.

While Santa brings presents, the Easter Bunny brings eggs and Tooth Fairy puts money in my glass in exchange for a tooth, I believe

So your parents got a bit careless. Mine never did. My sister told me and I remember I was instantly mad at the lies. Every time I hear a politician speak on the benefits of national health care, I remember the Christmas lies of eight years old. [;)] [:D]

We never did talk about it. One year the charade just ended and all of the presents were brought down to the tree after we got up. Typical of my family relationship, they were very close mouthed about their affairs. I grew up in ignorance of so many things going on there. In return, I never told them about any of my problems, never complained, never disobeyed, and they died thinking they were the perfect parents. Oh well, that's life. I didn't make that mistake with my children... we talked about everything and nothing was held back.

No. There clearly will be benefits for illegal aliens and sexual deviates who will now be able to get coverage on demand. The sad part is that 97% of real Americans are covered one way or another already.

This new insurance will be a far cry from a gift of Santa's. One seemingly important difference is that nearly no one wants it anymore-at least not the current plan. Their are millions of good folks that believed the drival of national health care. Now, the truth is settling in-they were lied to-thus the above comparison.

Definitely off the rails. [:D]

I wrote a long response, but deleted it. I'm tired of the whole health care debate and all the lies and misinformation getting thrown around. So there is no sense getting into it here. Personally, due to high deductibles and co-pays on my school health insurance, I am shunning all medical care and am relying on diet and exercise to keep me going rather than expensive drugs and diagnostic tests that I can't afford.

I agree totally - but just want to add one thing and leave it...

It works, 99% of the time, absolutely fine in Britain. It's not perfect...nothing is. I don't know what you are told over there, but if it's anything like "It'll never work" then they're lying. It can and does work and there are several countries with the proof...my country is one of them.

I'm sorry for this being off topic. But living in a country where healthcare is not dished out on your ability to pay and having that blessing slagged off cannot go unanswered!

Done here. Perhaps if you want to find out more, and truthful stories at that, we could compare notes by pm.

I work for the National Health Service here in the UK. It's far from perfect and is managed by far too many politicians and incompetent senior managers, BUT it does work incredibly well despite that. I wouldn't swap our system with any other.

But is'nt it a lot of dictactating to each individual what they can and can't do? when to do it and how to do it.
For the controlling my life by the government. I can't accept this health care. And I don't want pay for somebody to get an abortion.

So Santa bring us a better option.
