Sick Days

Post by Aloid »

Pulled the trigger on DW this past weekend and I'm wishing I'd saved up my sick days. Instead I've lost sleep and working bleary eyed thinking of how to buy-off space pirates, reduce my overhead and still manage growth in GDP.

The game is initially a shock to the brain and a lot to absorb. I think that once you let go of the fact that the private sector is free to do its own thing and the game is not going as fast as you think it is... everything starts to feel very comfortable.

The flow of the game and its UI is very well thought out. The depth and character of the alien races comes through even though we're just reading their text messages.

I still have a lot of questions about how things work (like refitting bases), and would like to see a ship design comparison screen… but I’m a very happy/sleepy gamer!

Cheers!
