222 Beta Patch

Frank Hunter's Campaigns on the Danube is an operational study of the campaigns along the Danube in 1805 and 1809. Campaigns on the Danube's system focuses on trying to present the player with the same sort of decisions placed on their historical counterparts; how to feed an army and move that army according to a plan, all the while trying to fight a campaign. There is also an option to allow players to play out the battles with miniatures and input the results.

222 Beta Patch

Post by newmanovci »

Well, many months after I'd planned, I've finally been trying out the 222 Beta patch. I like the new interface very much and also the new screen size options. There were one or two minor glitches (very rarely, error dialog boxes would pop up, but I simply clicked on them, they disappeared and all was well; and I got occasional messages telling me that a new hospital was being set up when it wasn't). But they hardly spoiled the play and, moreover, the 222 patch runs fine in Windows Vista without any need to change compatibility or 'Run As Administrator'. All in all, I was very happy :-).

However...there is one big problem: you can't play the extended campaign scenario for either 1805 or 1809! Checking back through the patches I see that this was also true of the 221 patch.

I don't know if Frank checks in this forum any more, but I'd *love* it if he could just fix that one thing. Here's hoping...
