Is it worth the trouble to go after routed units?

I have been going after HQ and routed units. HQ units give you captured supplies but what about routed units?

They take more damage and their morale will go down. I usually don't bother chasing them around if it means I need to divert forces from another task.

I think sometimes it's best to not push them back further if it means on that turn you can pocket them.

If I run across routed units with my exploitation mobile forces I move up to them so they further displace. Hq's and airbases i always go after.

Definately chase down exposed HQs - you capture accumulated supplies, and it ruins your opponents day.
