A few little things I'd personally love to see in 1.0.4

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

None of these are gameplay changes, just little improvements that would make my playing experience faster.

1) A hotkey for rail repair
2) When a rail repair unit moves into a hex with other units, do not auto select those units
3) AI controlled anti-partisan units
4) Shift CLICK on a division's headquarters takes you to the change HQ screen. Right click, then click again gets old fast
5) Hot key to return all attached battalions to next highest corps HQ
6) Hot key to pull all attached battalion up to a HQ
7) Hot key for "get off train" or "get on train"
8) Default supply mission drops fuel not supply (right click detail can choose supply instead)

Oh yeah, SU Pull Up would be great. + 1

How about a "show best replacement leader" depending on whom and a what level of Command?

by the way, can you really evacuate all weapon factories (all 63 :) ) in one week?
shouldn´t that need more time (say 4 weeks for all, or "maximum of X Capacity per week"?
So you can simulate the need of timed evacuation, otherwise you loose parts of the industry because your rail capacity is to small for it....?

the rail capacity is now too small

due to the doubling of costs in the latest betas

I had to lose 20 T34 factories, so I could evacuate some of the generic vehicle plants

next option was to lay carpet defences in front of kharkov and somewhere else for next turns evacuations

its real funnnneeee my infantry marching from the urals not.............

well, sorry for your loss but i think the game went in the right direction with these limitations.
i would like to see some more, say you can withdraw only industries the computer give the list, otherwise you have to pay even more pp... so you are forced to plan the evacuation and also, you are forced to fight for gaining time to evacuate the industries....

with this, a sir robinsky had a huge price and the russian player is forced to fight hard and take high risks, cause his industries are otherwise doomed.
But the german should gain only small intelligence about it, so you can trick your opponent.

Don´t know if the PP to pay could be depending on the distance of the industry to the frontline? With this a stratetic plan (with help to the computer... say he gives you a timetable how long you need to hold on and in what week you can retreat...

But to balance certain things out, make the russian production even larger.. so loosing some more is no gamekiller for the russian player ( i like the idea to fight in a way i can rescue more industry to fight back stronger and harder in 42-44)

Also i like to say - we need more gameplay - the russians should have the chance to evacuate historical numbers if they fight historical results. if the germans capture more industries, it has to be tweaked.

A real click and time saver would be the ability to select multiple SU in and HQ then type the name of their destination HQ. Likewise, to group select all air units within parameters of your own choice and group transfer them.

here here pat, good ideas. what about a Civ style "build road to" key. select a rail repair unit, then ctrl+r and click on destination, rr unit bumbles off and automatically repairs everything to that point. civ 3 did that.
