Still the Best Bang for Buck Wargaming Around

Post by Adam Parker »

I've had this on my PC since release and haven't played it for about 5 months now - life, other distractions etc.

I just wanted to say, that I've never experienced a wargame before (board or PC) that is just so fresh even after such a long break. I'ts like I just bought it home from the store today.

The length, number and breadth of scenarios seems unlimited. Their crafting is intelligent and their portrayal of combined arms combat is highly satisfying.

From art to sound effects to the best interface I've ever seen, this game deserves every gaming award that encompasses "brilliance" as its theme.

Thanks for the amazing amount of entertainment this game has given me Slitherine and Matrix - it has paid for itself in enjoyment exponentially... And I've only just finished the Normandy Campaign [:'(] - what a fight that was!!! I haven't even looked at the Bulge yet [:D]

The Blitzkrieg expansion I'll pass on only due to personal tastes but as soon as you want to go East Front - I'll buy [:)]

I've just never seen a game before that you can jump into and pick up where you left off without the slightest confusion. Wargaming par excellence.

Cheers all,
Adam.

Whoa! I'm playing the Bulge now and three edge-of-the-seat wins so far. I love the armor in this game for sure but nothing's more satisfying than moving and fighting with the foot sloggers.

I was cheering for one of my 50 cal units just before. They came under so much fire but kept rallying against the odds. They held out to the last man right until the very last turn when they were simply overun!

Posthumous CMO's going to this team - it was like playing out a movie[:)]

The perfect game to hop into whenever the whim takes. As for example when my wife says, "Desperate Housewives is on, do you want to watch it with me?" I lasted 5 minutes before I snuck off to click the BA icon [:D]
