saved games don't download anymore

saved games don't download anymore

When playing on my computer ( can work with all other games- fe also commander europe WW2) on the allied side with high difficulty from 1805, the game slows down over the periods so that a AI turn takes several minutes ( 5 and more). Sometimes it crashes and such saved turns can not be uploaded again. As said, all other games work fine and also the French side on high difficulty runs ok. PC runs with vista. I now check Windows XP. any idea?
