Crash when loading etc.

Post by perkyle »

I've conquered Soviet Union (as Germany, others AI) early, got funny Barbarossa-related option selection boxes half a year after SSSR had already died.

Anyhow, the serious one is the bug which prevents from continuing the game - both my own save and the autosave fail to load. In the ConsoleOut.txt the last line is:

[thread: 5352, -2] ERROR: line 559 in ai_data.csv has incorrect variable name (91)!

I've had a look at this file, 559 (and 558 and 560 as well :/), and can't find anything weird about it even if I compare to an unrelated save.

Rows of the file ai_data.csv, country portion where line 559 is. I highlighted 559 with row numbering starting at 1 in the text editor I use - I imagine the internal numbering might start from 0.

Seems like it's been reported already

I noticed that someone had the same issue and it's the SeaZonesToPatrol-variable being too populated. Removed the data and game loaded well.

Another issue: when runnig the game, the first two (?) advetisements are not visible, but after a couple mouse clicks I see the Wastelands-logo, so no big deal, but still....

I also have a problem playing the Grand Campaign. Made it as Germany through to late 1941 but now my saved games and autosave game results in a crash when loading. Can start a new game ok but really want to complete the one I started. Not savvy enough to open files as per above so some direction/assistance would be appreciated. Enjoying the game so far.

I too have just encountered the problem..the game crashed on me when I ended my turn...I open the save, and it crashes again when I end my turn....I shall zip up and send you the save.

File too big to upload and I haven't got a zipping program at the moment. However the game seems to have produced an error text file entitled console out which gives the following error at the end of the text. ERROR: line 227 in ai_data.csv has incorrect variable name (0)!
