Back in Business!

Post by Wild Bill »

Well, gentlemen, its time for the old Colonel to get back to work. Enough grieving and self-pity for personal situations.

I've three projects on which I am beginning work as we speak. THe first is a complete revision of all WBW scenarios and campaigns for the game. It is a monumental task. but I'm off to do it.

I could use some help. Any volunteers?

I'm going back to designing scenarios. I've got the urge back. Get ready for some action.

TIme for a new campaign! It won't be a mega-campaign but one to go inside of SPWAW. Any suggestions?

I've missed you guys and the forum. But I'm going to get back down to business. TIme to raise some hell around here! ;)

That is without doubt the best news I've seen on this forum in some time! :D

Welcome back...can't wait to see what you have in store for us as far as the re-visions....as well as any new material you might have on the drawing boards.

I would be happy to render my limited services should you have any need of them. I do a little map making here and there...and I have play tested scenarios for REMF...so if I can be of any service in those departments just say the word.

Hot D@mn!!! This day just got a whole heck of a lot better! ;)

Welcome back Bill!
While I can't claim to know you like many of the veterans of this board, your scenarios and campaigns have been an integral part of my SPWAW experience.I look forward to any new work you contribute to this wonderful game.
May you continue to recieve as much pleasure in the creation of your work as we derive from the playing of same.As to suggestions, perhaps the Canadians in Italy.Particularly the Ortona campaign.Another that comes to mind is the British in Burma under the sorely underrated General Slim.
Rest assured though, that we eagerly anticipate any scenario or campaign you wish to share with us.
Regards,
Fontenoy.

Thank you Gentlemen! Thank you so much. Your words of encouragement are greatly appreciated and highly motivating.

I look forward to your evaluations and critiques of future efforts. I saw your offer, Orzel. I'll be in touch with you, count on it.

Fontenoy, excellent suggestions on two very neglected areas historically and scenario wise.

M-4, you've been doing quite well as it is. You've made a lot of folks quite happy with your fine design work.

I think perhaps a "Kursk" campaign might be just the thing, Kevin, perhaps the better known Southern End under Manstein the master.

Those would both be excellent starting points.

I'm grateful.

You might change that a bit, Gmenfan, when you tackle some of the new ones. Oh well, such is the price of war. Thanks!

He's Back... guess I'll have to brush up on proper use of Engineer uints to detect those mines....never where you expected them, but always destroying units you're trying to protect from them! Welcome back. Your scenarios/campaigns have schooled all SPWAW players very well.

But one thing is for sure, with you back in the scenario creating business along with all the other fine designers out there... you're all going to make SPWAW pop really soon. I've got upwards of 650 scenarios now and at the rate you guys are makin them the 999 alotted spaces will be filled really soon. Oh well, I guess thats a good thing. Just gotta find the time to catch up and play them all.

But please WB, take it easy on the mines will ya...That expolsion late at night startles me and p*sses off the wife and kids.

Steve.

Okay, okay...I'll go easy on the mines, though the alternatives might be bunkers and pillboxes or hidden assault units or savage reinforcements. :p

You're forcing me to be creative, which might or might not be a good thing.

We need some more Pacific flavor and some tanks. How about a small campaign on some plucky Stuart Marine tanks supporting Army units in the New Georgia campaign?

You think that could work?

Tanks in the Pacific suits me just fine... I'm really enjoying some of your finest work in MCW. Since it'll be the Pacific I'm sure we'll have our fill of bunker/cave busting to do.

BTW, I thought you were already darn creative... sounds like you're getting downright mean now.:)

Looking forward to the new stuff.
