Buy PitF, or one of the previous CC games?

Hi there,

I used to love Close Combat back in the day, the one I played was the Easter Front one. I'm looking to get back into the game and was thinking about buying this, but see that there are a lot of complaints about Panthers in the Fog.

My question, now that Panthers in the Fog has been out for a little while, should I grab this one or one of the previous Close Combat games?

Given that the older ones are on sale at the moment, I want to make sure I grab the best one.

Probable best to get TLD/WAR (with the last patch they have the some mod potential so which battle do you prefer?) or LSA (more features than TLD/WAR but could probably use 1 more patch). Panthers in the Fog needs a patch so play the previous cheaper games till the kinks are worked out....

For people who own the previous games PiTF does have some good changes and past games have all received patches so PiTF you should expect no different....

I am actually pretty surprised about how few complaints there are about PitF. I remember when LSA came out...not a pretty sight...

In any case, just go for the battle you like the most.

I will see what happens with the patches and will decide then.  Seems like the old ones are still waiting to be patched to fix some serious issues as well.
