Close Combat Executable has stopped working (with hotfix applied)

I'm in the Grand Campaign, and twice I've had the same bug on the same map - the executable stops working and I have no choice but to close the game.

Error Message: "Close Combat Executable Engine Has Stopped Working"

I've applied the hotfix.

No, it's Juvigny-le-Tertre.

I uninstalled the game, re-installed, re-applied the patch, and 2 minutes into my third replay it crapped out again.

Can you give me some more information on how to reproduce the crash?  I've downloaded your saved game file and played through the first battle, and everything went fine.  Are you changing anything on the Battle Group screen or on the Battle screen prior to hitting 'begin'?  Is there something consistent that you're doing during the battle that causes the crash?

Huh! Maybe; I hadn't thought of that. If I recall correctly, perhaps changing out one company for another on the German side, and altering the US side's support composition?

Over the two times I tried it, I don't think I made the same specific changes either time, although I think the general changes above are correct.

I'd re-play it myself, but am slammed with work until Friday. I'll try it again then.
