Historical Resources for Command Ops

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Historical Resources for Command Ops

Post by BigDuke66 »

Well I thought we had such a thread somewhere but it seems I was wrong.
So what should go in here are all sources that are freely available to the users and that cover one of the operations that CO depicts(BFTB, HTTR) or will depict in the near future(COTA).

Sources for a future Eastfront game:
SMALL UNIT ACTIONS DURING THE GERMAN CAMPAIGN IN RUSSIA
http://www.allworldwars.com/Small-Unit- ... ussia.html

Sources for BFTB:
THE ARDENNES: BATTLE OF THE BULGE
by Hugh M. Cole
http://www.history.army.mil/books/wwii/7-8/7-8_CONT.HTM

PS Would be nice if this goes sticky.

The sources are cited in the Game Manual page 209. You could cut and paste them here. These are realy just the tip of the iceberg.
