[Q] Mission - Escort tab

How do you access the escort tab in the mission settings.

Can select the tick box but the tab doesnt un-grey

Sead and a2a escorts are mentioned in the manual. What does selecting escort in the tick box actually do in terms of the ai behaviour at the moment ?

They launch as separate groups with the strike and attack air and air defense targets along the way. This was a late beta add in response to what a lot of beta testers wanted. You should use it with aircraft based at the same air base.

If you don't like the logic you can always set up concurrent missions in support of the strike. I honestly like more fine grain control so I set up SEAD kill boxes (SEAD Patrol) and plot out fighter escorts or use AAW patrols.
