Soviet Unit Composition

I've been briefly dabbling in the scenario editor and am enjoying the 'pre packaged' units.

It's very easy to just plop down a full unit without having to research their true composition. Where did you guys get the data on the Soviet formations?

The American organizations seem to be spot on.

Between Capn Darwin and myself we have over 200 books on modern equipment and OOB's. Add to that support both official and unofficial of US/UK military sources and we have one of the most comprehensive OOB's for current formations available.

OOB's/TO&E's/ORBAT's can be challenging at any level but none more so than the current ones. There is a ton of information about wars gone by. Much of it contradicting; but it's out there.

For, wars that never were or current unit composition it gets worse. There is very little out there.

Check, cross-check and recheck are the name of the game. What you are seeing is the culmination of years of data collection. CD and I play off of each other very well, with the information we have and can pull up at a moments notice.
