Ok, so I haven't read the manuals, but I have my Japanese navy poised to invade Guam in the fast start Guadalcanal scenario. I'm on the invasion phase, clicking everywhere, how the heck do I invade, marine is loaded on transport, shore bombardment ready, ground support dialed in, but I can't figure out what to click on, grrr.

You should be able to pick up the Marine unit from the seas box and place it on Guam. If you're in the invasion phase the game recognizes that there are eligible units on the map.

Why does it say USA? Way above my pay grade on that one Kill, I am just a peon wandering around The Guadacanal scenario helping people out, remember Tokyo belongs to you [;)]. I did all the things that you are doing and got half way decent by osmosis.

In the board game, the islands in each sea zone have a default owner in 1939; if there are any deviations from the default in a sea zone, then those are printed on the map. The other islands are owned by the default owner (Japan) in 1939 but Guam was a US territory so it is labeled USA. Those labels are part of the map and not changed to reflect ownership.
