Resupply Routes Display

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Resupply Routes Display

Post by Arjuna »

With the new beta build 4.6.269 we added a new game feature, namely the display of actual supply routes. To see this just set the Display Lines Button on the Display Toolbar at the bottom of the screen to "Sup" ( the other options for this button are "Cmd" and "None"). Select a unit. If there is a resupply currently underway, it will show you the route. Otherwise it will show you a straight line from the Base to the unit as previously. Note that when it does display the route you will see that the last 500m or so of the route will be a blue straight line this is from the drop off point to the unit and indicated the last part of the journey that is handled by the unit itself.

Dave,
When the route shows RED, does that mean it has been interdicted or that there have been supply loses?

It means the supply rout has been cut. Usually this is because either they can't get a valid non-hostile route or they have tried sending a resupply column and it gets destroyed.

When the route is red, could I know WHERE was part of column destroyed?

Give a guy and inch and he wants a mile.[:)]

I'll add that to the wish list for CmdOps2.

Yeah I'm a greedy one too [:D]

Being able to see where it is destroyed would be great, but just being able to see the route now is a HUGE improvement on what we had before.

Thanks Dave & the rest of the Panther Team. [:)]
