I just had a 16-chariot race at Siena in my epic campaign, which as usual turned into mayhem and my driver (Osvaldus) was among those at the rear of the pack, unable to go the pace anymore. These guys were so far behind in the race, that the winner Thucydides almost finished his victory lap before they finished their third lap.
Now comes the odd thing. In this pic you see Osvaldus (Praesina), Dorotheus (Purpura), and Alcinder (Russata), who finished in the last three spots. Entering the final corner on the final lap, Osvaldus was a horse length behind Dorotheus and was thus ranked ninth, and Alcinder was tenth. When Thucydides, the Russatan champion, came around the corner, another bright red flag was put up for him, as if he was ranked "last" in the race.
There was no other Russatan driver in the race anymore that this flag could have been for. I can't see any other calamities caused by this, everybody is listed with their correct wins total after the race, it's just that Thucydides was counted again.
Note that I think one of the Auratan drivers flagged third and forth in the screen crashed before the end and didn't actually finish. So, Stephanus is flagged seventh at the corner, but finished sixth, and accordingly the three guys here were flagged 10th (Osvaldus), 9th and 11th.
