Convoy help: Great Videos

Post by vollman »

The tutorial videos were very helpful in sorting out some convoy problems.

1. Selecting which resource to be lent

As France, I was lending China a resource. By default, it was being sent one from mainland France. So I selected the French Indo China resource again, clicked default, selected the first row, and then selected "China" from the pop-up list. I hit "re-compute" and now the resource in mainland France was being produced at home, and the French Indo-Chinese was being sent to France. Excellent.

2. Changing the path of a convoyed resource

As USA, I was lending France a resource. By default, it wanted to ship my resource through the Caribbean Sea, which was unnecessary. So I highlighted the route, right-clicked on Caribbean Sea to remove it (and everything past it) from the route, then left-clicked one at a time on the seas through which I wanted it to travel (East Coast, etc). I double-clicked on the last sea, and the computer worked it out from there. I hit "re-compute" and it was taking the more direct route.

I only had to do each thing once, after which it was always in effect.

I'll admit that this wasn't easy to figure out on my own, but it was very easy after watching the tutorial videos.

Those are an excellent resource.
