No reloading Subs at Kwalein

Post by Ric »

Hello. (Playing as Japan)

I have a problem at Kwalein.

My sub's fleet don't reload torpedos at this base.

I check everything.

Main HQ's status and supply levels at the bases this HQ's are located, Kwalein itself is full of suplly and fuel to no avail.

Can somebody can help me to acces or understand what is happening?

Thanks.

Have you got a sub tender parked there that is loaded up?

Kwaj rearm level at start is 1160. Maybe it is not enough to reload the sub's torpedo type?

hello Roger.

Since the begining of game I hadn't had an AS type in port, and always my sub's rearmed but in the last 2 months (game time) it is not happening any more.

You must satisfy the rearm cost for torpedoes as stated starting on p287 of the manual. This is dependent on port size and/or naval support. If you can't qualify with these you need to have a tender loaded with supply disbanded in port. Said tender must have sufficient op points and can not be damaged above a certain level (which I don't currently recall).

Could be that AS run out of supply and needs to be loaded again.

I don't know which scenario you're playing, but all of the stock grand campaign scenarios start with two AS in port at Kwajalein (Jingei and Yasukuni Maru). You probably had the AS in port, and they've run out of supply. Just load them with supplies and you should be OK.

Will an AKE with sufficient capacity rearm torps on a sub, or is it only AS? I know AG can rearm small craft, and AD can rearm DDs, but it seems that they can rearm from AKEs also. Are Subs exclusive, or can they be rearmed by an AKE also?

AKEs will reload subs, but again, size matters (cost of reloading weapon system) and make sure the AKE is loaded.

There is a convenient button on the bottom of the Ships in Port screen (Load Tenders) so you don't have to make a task force/dock/replenish/disband those AKEs.
