GPQ-Game play questions

Sovereignty: Crown of Kings is a turn-based fantasy strategy game for the PC. It offers a intuitive yet deep province system, allowing you to raise armies, conduct diplomacy, scout enemy battle lines, rally heroes to your banner, send them on quests, cast spells and go to war. In Sovereignty, the player chooses one of 35 Realms in a bid for dominance of the map. Play is conducted in a series of turns as a single player game. Each Realm has a unique culture and history, which translates directly into different play-styles. Each realm has its own mix of unit types and spell trees. Their diplomatic relations, economies and histories vary. A player may choose a new realm and experience the game in a very different way. Fantasy heroes, troops, races and spells complement the rise to power.

GPQ-Game play questions

Post by budd »

any one know how you get a harbor? Seems i can get one because A. i'm on the coast B. I have ship units in my recruit screen. Went out and traded for some wood... I want my ships :) Is it just a matter of upgrading a province, i'm about to upgrade a province and i'll need ships at sometime, couldn't find anything in the manual.

Another one, why does Sonneneve have a harbor on a river, but can't build ships. Are ships even able to move on rivers. Can ships transport units?

How about a sticky for this thread for people to pose their game play questions.

got a reply on the steam forum.

Hi budd,

Actually realms can only build ships if they own a harbor. Ravengard has to win a harbor before it gets to build those ships.

Mostly this applies to human conventional armies. Some realms (such as the elves) board their swan ships directly by simply moving a land unit to sea. This converts the land unit into a transport ship.
