I also get this runtime error
program...ps\common\war in the pacific admirals edition\update.exe
abnormal program termination

When trying to patch. Help guys. Where is the version number being run? in my serialreg I'm showing version 1.00.79 which does not appear to be the latest.

I am on Windows 7 64 bit if that helps

Are you trying to get the upgrade from within the program? You can go to Matrix's site and download it directly.

I'll do that, but there is still a bug in the current updater.....

I don't believe Michael doesn't support the updater. It's something Matrix supports directly. I would not be surprised the updater is failing because they changed a URL on their server.
