War and Civilization miniseries

This is an 8-part series which was released in 1998, narrated by Walter Cronkite, with commentary by John Keegan. I downloaded the entire series from YouTube, and it's fascinating. It traces the development of warfare for the last 5000 years, and provides an interesting overview of world military history over an 8 hour span. I recommend it.
