PBEM uploading

Post by Jagdfluger »

It has happened to me a couple times now that I will finish a turn and go to upload, but my internet has disconnected. The upload, of course, fails, but then when I hit "OK," I am back to the main PBEM menu and the only option is to reload the turn and start completely over. The latest time this happened, I faithfully went back and recreated my turn (luckily the combat results were nearly the same to slightly worse for me), but when the game tries to upload to the server and fails, is there a save file somewhere so it is not necessary to completely redo the turn just because of connection problem? It would be perfect if the game would save a non-re-loadable save that the game simply reattempts to upload when the connection is reestablished (to prevent cheating by intentionally disconnecting to get around the PBEM protection). Is there a solution when the internet fails on upload or could this feature be added in a future patch? Thanks!

If this happens go to 'load saved game' and select the uploadedfile.dc3, the process will resume! :)

Best wishes,

Thanks! I wish I would have known that then. I am glad you already have that feature. It will save me a lot of anxiety!
