Community Pack 1938 Scenario Bugs?

Post by ghostrider293 »

Hi Guys,

I downloaded the Community Pack last night and started the 1938 scenario as the Allies. I only played one turn, and saved the game.

When loading the game today, I encountered an error message on loading my save ... although I could click through it and actually load the game ...

... and I also note that the Diplomacy screen has no options whatsoever for interraction? It's effectively blank.

For clarity my version of SC3, & Community Pack are both direct downloads from the Matrix website store, not via Steam.

SC3 itself is patched to v1.10

Many thanks in advance :)

Hi Ghostrider,

Looks like a small bug in the way the campaign was saved and possibly renamed. One way to fix this is to simply rename the '1938 Calm Before The Storm' campaign file as '1938 Calm Before The Storm2' and to then rename the subfolder from '_1938 Calm Before The Storm' to '_1938 Calm Before The Storm2' in your USER folder for the game.

This folder can be found here:

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - War In Europe\Campaigns

For Diplomacy, this is actually correct as the campaign starts with no fully active MAJOR nations so none of them can enter into any diplomatic actions until they are fully mobilized.
