Steam and new patchs

Hi all,

Just wanted to replay this game and patch it.
With version 1.0112, i had no problem.
Now if i dpwnload and try to install 1.0168 or 1.0215beta, the install fails.
(fails while " creating uninstall executable")
I saw that we have to register on steam now?

Is it still possible to play this game without steam?

steam is a platform and no it's not needed if you wish to only play the site version, that's fine, it's only a choice, you can have one or both installed

Ensure you don't have WitW or the WitW launcher running while updating. You may want to temporarily disable your antivirus while updating as it may interfere.
WitE dev team - (aircraft data)
WitE 1.08+ dev team (data/scenario maintainer)
WitW dev team (aircraft data, partial data/scenario maintainer)
WitE2 dev team (aircraft data)

I tried it and ... it works, must be the antivirus then.
Strange because i had no problem with the previous patches.
