How to immediately Cancel an Order.

I haven't played the game since QB was a new release, so, my skills are just about back to Novice level.

So, this is a novice question. Using no Mods, of my fat fingers touch the wrong mouse button and I've accidentally given a unit or group some immediately obvious catastrophic, how does one immediately cancel this order so that the unit/group can remain as it was?

there's probably a better answer out there but I'd say just click the Halt button (ie the hand icon).

I know about the Halt button but I was hoping for something better.
