Disbanded in a dot or base hex. And don't forget about the AVP ships. So yes....GP

Almost all Japanese AV's have the ability to operate a small number (9) of floatplanes while at sea. I think one is limited to four.

While the manual says AVs can support operations at sea, in fact it appears Allied ones cannot.
USS Wright, for example, should be classified as an AV. Further, she can mount catapults and use
a Hein Mat system to recover while moving. But classifying an allied ship as AV appears not to
work. So the language above is correct, even if not consistent with the manual.

I usually just go to a dot base, do not unload, and disband. Usually provides 4-6 AV support.

When you disband AV in Base, you will see additional FP support (it is shown as +number), but remember, that you need supply at Base, if planes are operating from land, not ship.

AFAIK there're a few that do.

AV's need to be loaded with supply in order to support FP air ops.
