pbem will not start

help,i am playing pbem spwaw and have sent my move to my opponent who cannot get it to work...i then tried the same game and highlighted our game and clicked on the start button...there was a split second pause then nothing,the start button was grayed out (like the campaign button)it will just not work this is the 2nd time this has happend any ideas ????????

It sounds like the PBEM is missing a file. How many files did you zip and send?

I have another explanation, I've tried this a couple of times.

If you quit SPWAW quickly after them PBEM autosave, the game won't finish the generation of the save-game files!

That will break the savegame.

I hate when it happens. It shows EXACTLY the same "graying out" of the button when you try to load the game.

So maybe you should load the last backup (which you hopefully have!), or otherwise your opponent should. Always back up the last incoming turn!

I've never experienced the problem if you wait a few seconds so the computer finishes writing to the files.
