Computer to run game

My old machine takes FOREVER to do a turn; awesome game but time to do a turn is terrible. So question; looking to buy a new computer anyway. COULD I PLEASE HAVE SOME SUGGESTIONS on what type is hardware to get. Other than the more simple things this is the most taxing thing my computer would do yet would like it to last a while. Appreciate any suggestions.

A faster processor would help though.
