Trench level

I know there are different levels of trenches, these are also reflected in a different modeling in the game. However, I only see it in the AI, I see that the number of layers of the trenches increases or even they make fortifications (gray bar like barbed wire) and I no matter how much the investigation of trenches I can not transfer it to the map.

when you click on a unit you wanna entrench, if that unit has at least 1 action point left, click on the shovel button. I'm not sure if there is a way to automate troops building trenches. I also don't know if there is a hotkey for this.
