How to know which unit cooperate with which?

Post by selfoe »

In Toaw3 there are three easy ways to show cooperation. First you could show the nine units in a single cell, and that interface will have golden or silver flags that tell you cooperation status of each unit.

Or, you could plan an attack on an empty land, and that interface will tell you the cooperation stats of all units around.

However, in Toaw4, none of those methods fully work for me.

We could only plan an attack on a nearby enemy to show our cooperation status; but even if we are doing that, we will still only get the cooperation status of non-aircraft units and those units that are capable of attack in this turn.

Units belonging to the same formation should display a silver circle under their counter.

The planning attack dialogue works for me in TOAWIV,

but mostly I go by the formation report of a unit,

secondly simply by chit colors (I try to keep if not formation together,
then at least the chits with similar color schemes.)

Not always perfect reliable, but it does help keeping colors together.

In scenes with diff. color schemes for you armies

The plan attack window will work only if there is an enemy nearby. If no enemy is adjacent to your units in question, you cannot plan an attack in TOAW IV. But in TOAW III you can always plan attack even if your target in an empty land.
