Just purchased Desert Storm, questions

Hi Team, I've just purchased the DS DLC from steam and started the campaign.

Are there any RAF platforms such as Tornado GR1, Buccaneer, Jaguar, Tristars in this DLC?

I appreciate the first mission is ferrying all the assets into theatre but so far all these assets are American and I really wanted to deploy the UK assets.

Hi Stuart and welcome to the world of Command.

Re your question, no, there are a few but not many RAF platforms that appear in the Campaign. They were not left out intentionally but due to the fact that I was mainly familiar with USAF units during DLC development 2017-2019. Some units were added in later scenarios to address this but not as many throughout as there probably should have been. Again,not intentional but due to lack of familiarity and scenario size constraints.

If you were so inclined you could edit individual scenarios adding RAF air units (and possibly naval as well) without interfering with overall scoring or feature execution.

I hope their absence does not detract from enjoying the campaign.

Hi Wayne, firstly thank you very much for the swift response it's greatly appreciated.

The absence of the RAF air assets i menioned wont detract me as I abosolutely love this game and i wouldn't even pretend to understand how much time and effort is involved in making these campaigns so i will play the campaign through as it comes and i am more than confident it will no doubt be more than satisfactory akin to the other DLC's.

I need to make some time and study the mission editor, presently I am just enjoying the game and DLC's but i really need to kick myself up the arse and and get into editing, I was a teenager living at RAF Lossiemouth (my father was in the RAF) when I watched the RAF deploy to the Gulf in 1990 and I was fortunate enough to be accepted into the Royal Navy in early 1991 and joined HMS Gloucester in the Persian Gulf towards the end of the campaign so i have a personal interest in this campaign.
