Sapper Battalion Upgrade to Regiments?

Do Soviet sapper battalions automatically upgrade to regiments in late 1942 or early 1943 (like tank battalions do)?

An easy way to answer this question is to check the upgrade path in the TOE screen.

Select TOE xx/xx. Then look to see if there is an upgrade listed at the bottom of the TOE screen (Show next TOE(OB)). If there is, then select this to see what the upgrade is. If it does not show up then it does not upgrade.

In the case of Sapper battalions, there is no upgrade listed, so presumably they do not upgrade to regiments.

Never mind, I see Sapper Regiments were nerfed after 1941.
