Looking for player experiences with scenario 2? Do the changes make it significantly more challenging than scenario 1?

Against the Japanese AI it only makes a little difference. Catastrophic defeat still ensues as more ships and planes don't make it any smarter.. A human player would probably squeeze a lot more staying power out of the additional resources provided by the scenario.
