A 2D Counter Mod is showcased that has for example Nato Counters for Infantry just like the old Arab Israeli Wars Board Game or Panzer Leader Board Game. I own both of these games and Panzer Blitz Board Game as well and really like the Nato images for Infantry and the little symbols for anti tank guns and mortars.

It seems this mod was included in update 1.02 if I am reading correctly.
However in version 2.0 and 2.01 of the game this mod seems to have dissapeared.

Can I download this mod please?
I know I could replicate it but my graphics skill with Gimp and Paint is low and it would take me a long long time and the result would not be great.

Good day seanny! The mod was made for the 1.02 build indeed with the map tiles for the then zoom-in 2D view mimicking the AIW board and at least the Israeli and Egyptian chits following their AIW counterparts.

With CSME 2.0 new Zoom-in views were introduced, new map tiles as well, and I never had the time to start anew with the mod. I put together a quick Boardgame 2D map mop though.

I'll see if I can find (just need a bit time) the 1.02 download and will post a link here.

I had an idea.
Even if you think perhaps the mod is not compatible with current version of game I would still like the files since I could maybe cut and paste in Gimp to do what I would like with the 2D Counter Art.

Looks like I will have to do some editing since I normally make use of icons8d files(close up 2D view).
(I made myself something similar to yours but less professional already whilst I was awaiting your file which I am reasonably happy with by using the 2dBlack Silhouette Mod included in CSME and cut/pasting with the nato 2Dcounter art in the game itself. )

I amsure Ican get a good result for myself with the use of your Art assets added to my graphical arsenal(I am not very good with Gimp but have mastered copy/paste I think).

Fun times ahead.

What I have made so far is an amalgam of
(1)2dBlack Silhouette Mod complete bar my substitution of some files as listed below
(2)nato 2Dcounter art in the game
(3)my own cut pasting of (1) and (2) for icons8d (isralei only)
(4)somewhat dodgy resizing of Crossroads icons7d (israeli only) to size and name of icons8d (isralei only)as well as selective cut/pasting of some units tomake themsmaller (eg Jeep and MGs)
(5)using Crossroads icons7d unaltered really just for Unit List Graphics Box (on top RHS of screen)

I have really made 2 versions of my Mod where (3) and (4) are the variation between them.
It is for 2D Map only for most zoomed in view.

It is Ok to share considering some files are unaltered but just included in amalgam?
Also not sure how to add attachments to forum, is sendspace Ok?

I also made an 'Arcadey' Mod that has no Graphical effect but rather alters main.pdt and just the Israeli Platoon.oob.

This includes a more Brutal Combat Results Table ,especially at low odds like even 1 to 4 for example.
It also makes the main Cover like Trees,Villages etc have less defensive value.
And finally only small edits to some ofmy favourite Israeli Units to make them fire faster,
Jeep with 106RR
60mm Mortar
Vulcan cannon M113s,
thats all I remember at moment.

This Mod does not use anything other my the main.pdt ,the Israeliplatoon.oob both with my edits.
I spose this would be safe to share as well?

I am still updating them piecemeal ,

I have posted a newer version of SEAN MOD-colours with afvs at the Blitz Forum in the section on Campaign Series .

Hope some users get some entertainment from my amateur mods.
I find for me they really add to the game.

Basically the 2d Unit Mods change the Israeli,French,British and Syrian pictures for the close in 2d View.

A little late to the party but I am so glad to see this mod brought back to life! It really takes me back and the counters look great. Thank you so much for putting in the leg work on this, I know how hard it had to be to convert all the zoom levels.

Thanks to both of you for bringing this back, would be cool if it was included as a mod with future updates.
