Another awesome map mod in the making, Bill!

As you have noticed, there's a few underlying changes to map graphics files and what they include, but nothing out of ordinary I hope. If you have any questions give us a holler either here or via PM or email!

Oh Hi Peri, thanks

That's for sure, I'll get you some example issues I'm dealing with. But right, nothing too different. Pain point right now are those edge files. Like shallow edge or shore edge. Seems to be limited combinations for that since ME, so you end up with situations where edges get overlapped when rendered. That fine and not noticeable if just using a solid texture. But trying to do transitions on these images and you end up with some odd anomalies for your surfing beaches.

Yes, Edges do require quite a lot of TLC to get right, especially when downsizing to zoomed-out views. Sometimes no other possibility than to manually tweak the other zoom size files as well. Good luck! Any question you have my email address :ugeek:

This looks great. I like the use of color- subdued, but still fits the terrain in question.

Is it still in progress?

Oh, yes. sorry. I have more to do on the structures files, and need to convert a night time set. and double check the other bioms.

But really I'd say its like 85-90% done, for me that is. I got to a point a month or two ago, then started actually playing the game.

BUT, If you want to take a look at it so far, I've been pushing updates to my drive where I have my other CS modes.

the file for this one is CSVNMausMan3DGraphics.zip
download, unzip, and put it in your mods and activate it.

I've used an automated process for adding a green layer (0,77,101) with 65% opacity for the night variants once everything else is completed. Hopefully something you can easily do with the graphics editor you're using, too. If not I am happy to help with this.

yes I tried generated "night" the other day by running a python script using the pillow package. Dropped brightness to 50 and increased blue hue some. Don't know if I'll adjust some more. Its easy enough to change when I dip into the night scenarios. Could even adjust in a current game to reflect full moon vs. New moon, just for looks.

Thanks! Fantastic 3D map. Gives a much closer impression of scale and is very clear.
